This is an exceptional opportunity to be a core member of our Design Studio responsible for crafting and delivering a holistic, integrated design approach for west and our clients.
Designers are the creative force of west’s partner engagements. Your biggest impact is in working on a variety of projects across our portfolio that integrate designs and experiences into brands, services, products, spaces, and new business opportunities.
Assisting on proposals, user research, concept development, prototyping
Participating and influencing all stages of a project with a focus on visual and storytelling
Working within a multidisciplinary team to push our visual comms further in unique ways
Presenting visual approaches internally and externally in an effort to elevate perceptions
Tracking the latest trends, experts and thinking about the future of creative and design
About You
We’re looking for people whose interests, experiences, and ambitions don’t easily fit a typical job description. Your work history might include some combination of helping develop new markets, finding new customers and profit pools, and launching products and services that have never existed before. Among your many skills is a propensity for synthesizing all kinds of left- and right-brain inputs to see gaps and white spaces and develop creative approaches to category leadership. Today you may be a graphic or visual designer, a digital designer, a studio artist, an experience or product designer, a UI/UX designer, or a freelance creative doing your own thing. You are a fearless experimenter. An empathizer. A champion of what could be. More than anything else, you are driven by the opportunity to learn at a pace you never imagined and contribute to work that really matters.
Some stuff you’re good at, and the extraordinary
3-5 years interaction/graphic design experience across a variety of digital media platforms
Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, New Media or an equivalent degree
Experience in concept ideation, design strategy, digital prototyping, and graphic design
Experience collaborating with designers from different backgrounds and mediums
Passion for visual design and a point of view about your work
Desire to learn new methods of designing digital experiences
Extensive experience with InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Keynote, and other design tools
Bonus points for experience designing apps, in motion design, or front-end coding
Strong verbal and written communication skills
